Kyle's first post

Hey everyone it's Kyle here, just making my first post on the blog. We finally came up with a final itinerary for the trip last night, and I think it works nice. The 3 minor league stadiums will be fun and cheap, so that's a double plus! For people who want to know, here are the stadiums we will be traveling to:

The Brickyard in Oklahoma City, OK (minor league)
Kaufmann Stadium in Kansas City, MO
New Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO
Comerica Park in Detroit, MI
Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada
Fenway Park in Boston, MA
Yankee Stadium in New York, NY
Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA
Nationals Park (new in 2008) in Washington, DC
Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, MD
PNC Park in Pittsburgh, PA
Jacobs Field in Cleveland, OH
Wrigley Fied in Chicago, IL
Hammons Field in Springfield, MO (minor league)
Alliant Energy Field in Clinton, IA (minor league)
Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, in Arlington, TX

I am personally looking forward to all of the stadiums, but most of all, Yankee Stadium, Nationals Park, and PNC Park. It will be the time of my life!

First Post

We're starting this blog to keep track of our upcoming trip to visit eastern baseball stadiums.

I got the idea for the trip this summer when Rachel and I were at a Rangers/Reds game in Cincinnati.  We ran into some Rangers fans that came up for the day to see the game.  They said they pick an away game to go to every year, and it's usually a stadium that they haven't been to before.  Well, somehow that turned into an idea that Kyle, Jason and I should go on a 17-day trip to see 13 major league stadiums, 3 minor league stadiums and the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

We'll be updating this blog as the trip gets closer, so keep checking back for updates.
